Will a 71sb rear window fit in a 72 beetle?

my question is the same as the title. i have a 72 beetle and i wondered if i could put the rear window out of an old 71 sb in it so i would have a rear defrost.

Simply put, no. In 72, VW went to a larger rear window. Look around junkyards for a 72 window with a defroster. Hope this helps.
