can i use T1/T3 axles in a microbus tranny

i am trying to fit larger width wheels in the back.

people say i have to change to a T1/T3 tranny, w/bus nosecone. so that i get the longer axles.

i have a new bus tranny. can i just use the swing axles and tubes from a T1/T3 in the bus transmission?
