This is a very straight and correct original 1956. I have collector plates on it currently which means it has to be totally stock, mint and correct to qualify.
This is one nice truck. Stock 36 HP rebuilt 2000 miles ago with a Crash Box transmission. It has been converted to 12 Volt with a rewound generator. All the trinkets (lights – Speedo) are mint if not NOS. Headlights are fluted European. Dashboard hasn’t been cut. No rot or rust. Interior panels are new from Wolfsburg West. Before I put the front kick panels in I marvelled at how straight and shiny the front end was, obviously never having been hit or dented.
The treasure chest has surface rust near the cab due to the fact I haven’t found original colour primer. I have a lead on original crank nut, tin and crank but is currently missing. It occasionally pops out of 3rd gear.
