VALVE COVER HEAT SHEILD

Post by 69SQBCK »

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in using these heat sheilds in the air cooled V.W. application?

yup. Heard the wap will make your exhaust last only a year or two. Course that all they last sometimes eitherway.
Cermanic coatings is the way to go, cost a little more, but makes the exhaust last longer and helps keep the heat down a bit. I am sure there are some FAQ'a on the cooling part of it.

Here is something I found when looking for something that I dont remember now. Seems like a neet idea, but it is made for a Porsche. http://www.seinesystems.com/index-1.htm

Just HPC coat it if heat is a worry.

Check out last months Car Craft to see how well the HPC elliminates heat from the headers.

... Now if someone made HPC coated heat exchangers Image Well you could just send them to HPC but for a person it is outrageously expensive versus a retailer of pre-made stuff. Aircooled.net might be able to do it?
