exhaust size

i know for stock motors one should use a 1 3/8 exhaust, but am am going to a bigger motor in the future , and due to the cost of performance i want to buy piece by piece, so i was wondering if i could use a 1 1/2 exhaust on a stock motor with dual kadrons without harm or loss of power?????

There would be a very slight loss in low end, but the motor will still pull fine.

You should pick up 2-3 hp on the top end over the 1-3/8 system, so it will work out great.
