heaterchanels not lining up

heaterchanels not lining up

i remover the body installed supports to hold the body together repalced the pans then put the channels on the pan then laid the bodt on the channels but they dont line up iam off about 1/8 inch on both sides has any one run into this

What are you working on ?!?

It's possible that your bracing did not hold the body together too well. Just move it so that the channels have a couple bolts into the pan and that the rest of the body has a couple of major bolts in the pan. This should help get you lines up for tack welding ......

Aftermarket parts aren't known to fit like a glove. Most (pans, aprons, channels, fenders, etc) would require a little tweaking to make it work just right. Just drill new holes if you did install it correctly but still don't line up.

where are you off?
What kind of car is it?
Was the body completely off and are ur bolts just off?
Do you have any picks?
