Removing the engine and automatic transmission together.

Hello again,

Thanks to everyone for previous answers to my other questions. I need to remove the engine and transmission (automatic) from my newly acquired '74 camper (both need rebuilding) and was wondering if I can remove them together and then separate them once removed from the vehicle. My book doesn't seem to cover this scenario.

Any tips, tricks, instructions, experience, or pointers to other information resources will be greatly appreciated.

It's pretty well the same scenario, hangars, nose cone mount, shifter cable .... not much else to tell really ...

You can definitely drop both together, just be sure to have a good strong jack under the engine / tranny to support everything. The automatic transaxle weighs quite a bit (160lbs as I recall).
