I was wondering what my options are.......i have heard from a friend that a long time ago they used to use lead for bodywork....could i maybe do something like this...melt down some fishing sinkers or something else made out of lead?

no.. you have to tin the area first...
As a autoresto/ kuston shop tech.. I wont toush LEad with out gettin double time...

You be surprised what "glue" does now.. Hell you doors, q.p. all come glued from the factory


SEM small pannel adhesive will work great to fill that hole... but as you self this.. poke the rest of the floor with a screw driver on an awl.. you'll find more....

Modern adhesives are pretty remarkable...

If you you have access to a MIG welder then you can back the hole with a clean copper spoon (or mashed water pipe, penny, whatever) and *ZOT*.

The weld will not stick to the copper. Great way to fix small pinholes.

Rust Bullet or similar rust preventative coating can cover up small pinholes as well. And RustBullet dries rock hard, harder then POR-15 IMO. Tape up the bottom so it won't drip through and apply it on thick as recommended.

The silver part is RustBullet coated
