Cutting Body panels

Post by Bugzilla »

I am trimming some of the 'body panels' in my engine bay ('70 Bug) to make room for the (Subaru) engine.
I am using a grinder with a cut-off blade to do this.
What is the best way to clean up these cuts and make sure there is no razor sharp edge left ?

Are there any special tools to do this ? I don't want to use a rubber 'cover' of some sort because it will only hold moisture in.

Thanks.

Rob.

An angle grinder with the regualr grinding attachment is decent. Or you can use a rough sandpaper and do it by hand. My fav all around tool is a flapper disc attachment on my angle grinder. Looks like 60 grit heavy sandpaper overlapping each other in a circle. You can get these in Wal-Mart, Home Depot or any place with your basic angle grinder attachments.
