This is one of those topics that takes quite a while to answer, and has been covered ad nauseam here. Take a shot at the search feature for this one.

OK, here we go again, every month.

69mm counterweighted cranshaft, 8 dowelled.
044 40x35.5 heads, nice p/p
13.5 LB flywheel, 8 dowelled
Engle 110 cam
Lightweight lifters
aluminum pushrods
009 Distributor
Dual 44 webers
1 1/2 merged header

Should get you in the 85-100 hp range.

I'd think that combo you listed would push more like 105 to 110, actually, whta with bigger valves and a little more cam and exhaust...

If it is a year round driver, and a budget is in mind, I wouldn't hesitate to run our L3 heads. Awesome port work, but stock valve sizes so you can still run stock heaterboxes. Throw on a 1 3/8" header, some 40IDF's and a mild cam and you'd be suprised at how peppy that Ghia can be!

If it is just a good weather car, and the budget is healthy, then you can go with larger carbs, merged exhaust, a more wild cam, etc, etc. It really all depends on what you want to use the car for.

Or you could just put a turbo on it, and not really worry about the heads.
