The stuff I do (CAD and CAD II only) I charge by the square inch. I'd guess that chromers do the same. Find someone that does aluminum a lot also because there are some oddities when plating because it oxidizes so quickly.

Another idea is that if they are aluminum you might try buffing them with a rag wheel and some rouge and lacquering them. Aluminum will shine up really, really well.

I don't know wht part of Florida you are in, but there is a chrome shop on 75 near ocala (wildwood exit 329) called "75 chrome shop" I've been told they do great work... but I have never had to have anything chromed!

I just looked at their website www.75chromeshop.com and it doesn't look like they chrome things for you, rather just sell chromed items... I don't know... check it out if you are interested in it and let us all know!

Check out your local Harley shop. Most of their bike owners like to get stuff chromed, and one of their customers (if not the shop) can recommend you a good place. Bumpers will be pricey though, as most chrome shops aren't set up for long items. I hope this helps.

Good point. That is who I do most of my cad plating for - old Harley owners that want that true original look. Wasn't a lot of chrome on those things 30+ years ago.
