Webber 44IDF Mixture screw

Trying out some dual 44's IDF.
When turning in the mixture screw to set, 1or 2 mixture screws on the carbs don't seem to make any difference.While the other two do?
Seems to be one screw on each carb does this.

Any ideas why?
I have pulled them out and checked them over and they look ok,no grooves or bent tips.

check for vaccum leaks on the side that is not affected. Then look into idle jets, it your jets are set up wrong your will not get any effect with the mixture screws.

IDFs also have a throttle plate bypass passage that can be used to synchronize the two cylinders served by each carb. If one of these is open significantly more than the other it'll make the idle mixture adjustment respond differently. Loosen the locknuts and run the bypass screws all the way shut gently, then hold in place and retighten the nuts...see if that makes a difference.
