6.1 SCFM @ 90 PSI/7.4 SCFM @ 40 PSI
6.25 HP peak motor is the most powerful motor in the industry to run on standard household current
Vertical tank design provides more space in workshop or garage
High flow pump delivers abundant air flow (6.1 SCFM @ 90 psi)
Easy-to-grasp oversized handle for sure grip
Large semi-pneumatic wheels for easy portability
this compressor is for lowes and it said 150psi. is that the tank psi then regulated down to 40/90 scfm? i want to paint my bug this summer and i need a compressor. also what kind of psi would i need to run a paint gun?
will this compressor work for painting car?

Re: will this compressor work for painting car?
short answer? Not really....if you plan to use one of the newer HVLP(high volume low pressure) guns then the No is a definite...and older pressurepot gun should do *okay*....i would definitely try to spend a bit more and get a bigger and better(remember bigger isn't always better) compressor....sopjih111 wrote:6.1 SCFM @ 90 PSI/7.4 SCFM @ 40 PSI

I have one with similar specs....
It does OK -- not Great -- OK.... REALLY depends on the gun you're running... we added a 2nd reserve tank.....
In order to have it run well on our setup, I also mounted a BIG guage and noted where the air pressure is....
A smarter guy pointed out to me that many times doing the prep is the way to go... for the price of materials many body shops will shoot exterior and use it as fill in jobs...
I normally do all of the priming and filling.... then get on the wish list for a few colors for the body -- usually doesn't take long since black is a color of choice.
They call me the day before and only have to prepsolve the car.
