Stroker crank differences

May be a stupid question but what are the differences in quality between the available stroker cranks....bugpack, scat, etc?
Are they all forged in the same place and just stamped with the different companies names?

I'm pretty sure that Bugpack makes their own cranks (which are supposed to be some of the best available), but I have no proof. I know that Scat now makes top-quality cranks for the V8 boys so I'm pretty confident that their cranks are pretty good. Gene Berg went into great detail many, many years ago about the quality steps taken during the construction of his cranks.

Dizzy- not all stroker VW cranks are forged- some can be bought that are cast. Read the details carefully and ask to be certain!

the one i have is a bugpack forged crank. was just wondering how it compares to the other cranks that are made. are the counterweights shaped differently or are they all the same shape, etc?
