In my 66 I installed the carbs in about 15 minutes flat...The way the shroud is made you have better access to the manifold nuts.
No worries, the DTM uses all stock breast tin, and bellhousing tin. Joe made the lower portions of the mold from stock VW cooling tins, and in the mold there are depressions that align all the stock mounting holes.. Just drill the through and use all stock goodies.
We just installed one on a 9.7:1 2275 TI yesterday and dynoed it... Looks like many of the problems are eliminated with the changes we have made.. I currently have them on two of the 2275s,one on an 11:1 2165 and another on a 1776. 4 more are being installed on test engines, one of those is going to Africa, should be no worries about getting some good results on that one!
