16" or 17" custom wheels for 87 Vanagon Wolfsburg

Hi,
I am looking into putting aftermarket wheels on my Vanagon, somthing that will give it a low riding look. Is there anyone out there who has done this or anyone with suggestions. Will I need to put spacers etc.
Also is anyone interested in a set of Vanagon Wolfsburg edition aluminum wheels?

I have a set of 16 x 7 Porsche Phone Dials on Ebay for sale....

You will need to redrill your drums to the Porsche PCD.
You should not need spacers on a Bus.
