east coast.........
I will probably try to make some east coast events that will have me, it seems alot of the promotors frown on a non vw engine, even though the people like the car and always want to see it run. I would line up with anyone for fun.

Green1965bug...
Keep up the good work; bet you'll like the results. Once rode in a vert bug that Paul Newman had built up with a Ford 351W and a Pantera 5-speed, mounted mid-engine, of course. Nice machine, to say the least! P.N. had given it to the local community college for their race car design/construction program. Nice guy too!
Best wishes with your car.

Hey CMD!
Are you going to Litchfield, it's comin' right up . . . As I mentioned, I LOVE your new car! Why not hand me $3,000.00 for mine and you'll have the East Coast V8 Beetle market pretty much cornered.
Otherwise, let me know which shows you're planing on attending, and I'll bring my car down as well.

... thats just great...
That thing is going to be SWEET! When are you planning to have it "finished". Can I expect to see this thing at the DE car shows? I'll be there in the '59.

Well, actually, the 1961 V-8 Bug I just bought on E/bay is Badder 'cause it ran high 9's at Atco, but the Split is what I really want!Brother Mist wrote:

They'll both be De. cars (if I can get them through Inspection!)
I don't know when I'll be finished; that's why I bought the '61!
Yeah, I'll do some shows, but I'm building a "Driver", not a Show car!
I'd like to see your '59; you can contact me at:

Cool, I didnt mean you were building it for show, only that it should be shown. Definatly gotta drive it... thats what cars are for!
The '59 aint got the EJ20T yet. I'll probably be starting on that late or the end of summer. Till then I'll have to make it by on my bone stock 1600SP. Gotta get a tranny in her to, as the crashbox has lost the ability to stay in first...
Cant wait to see either of the V8 Bugs at the shows! Oh, and good luck with the DMV! I know how much of a pain that can be from my other addiction... My modded Jeep.
