Hey Mike (Flying Tomato) funny seeing you here. Are you going to be making a switch?
I ran 30mm bars with adjustable spring plates and AVO adjustable shocks. Never broke a trans and was very easy to adjust to track conditions. I also ran 28" x 9" slicks.

Hey Marty,
I hope to ease into the 11s again. Glad to hear you confirm the set up, I may try it soon.
For now I'll be happy to spectate when the big dogs come off the porch. Anything new with you, last I heard your turbo engine might go into the LGK dagster?
Come by the DKP tent for a cold one this Classic.

Mike, thanks for the info. When you say purpose built rear shocks, do you have any particular spec in mind as I'm going to get Leda to make a pair of adjustable damping rate shocks soon. If you could give advice as to how hard/soft (compared to stock) the shocks should be, I would be most grateful.

Matt, I think I raced you in my 03 at the Big Bang. You jumped the lights, and as it was my first time on the strip I did to! All good fun though eh?

I'm not an expert enough to suggest valveing on someone elses shocks. When I try this set up it will be with the AVO shocks Marty mentioned from RonLummusracing.com.

To help Matt (the original question), just in case you haven't gotten it taken care of. Try lauching your bug at a lower RPM. I have driven a few turbo cars. My buddies Mustang, launches at 2000 RPM and nails it imediately. I launch my Ghia around 2500 - 3000 and run high 10's and low 11's all day on slicks. Hope to get those E.T.'s a little lower soon...

Thanks Jason, I'll give it a go! What do you run that pulls tens? Sounds awesome!
