hey want know if a turbo would give the more trouble than is worth. i am currently running a 78.4 str0ker crank, 90.5 pistons, engle 110 cam, 1.25 ratio rockers, big valve heads, and a single 44 weber any help would be appreciated

If the motor is fresh, should make a great street motor with turbo and mild c/r say 7.0 or so 110 = mild cam good all around performance and the stroker means you don't have to run a lot of boost.Should be a mid 12 car in it's sleep with the right setup.

It is really easy to make some big power with a turbo. Based on my recent experience I can tell you that the 110 cam sucks in a turbo. I had one in the 1776 turbo I have been working on and the boost was really slow and it had trouble getting to higher boost levels. I put in a Engle Turbo 120/130 and the boost comes on instantly. It is pegged at 15 psi as soon as you load the motor.
I also played with a sidedraft carb on it and that was nothing but a gas guzzling piece of junk. As soon as you turn the boost up to 10 psi it starts pinging and it ends up destroying the pistons. I would without a doubt recommend a fuel injection system. With the fuel injection you can run 14 psi with no pinging at all on 94 pump gas and that is with 8.o to 1 compression. The motor will run like a stock motor until you step on the gas and then it just takes off.
Just remember to run stock gears so the motor comes on to boost quick and you don't have to shift as much in the quarter.
