advice 4 a 12 sec 63 beetle

I have a 63 beetle with a 1600 dual port engine. I want to turbocharge my beetle and have it run 12's in the 1/4. I also want it to be reliable and no heat up problems cause i will daily drive it in southern cal. what size engine and turbo and supporting mods should i consider and need??? Looking to spend 5k to 10k. possible?

any ways, here is one suggestion http://members.aol.com/jimhage/
look under specs on the left side.
we slapped this motor together pretty quick, low dollar in the motor it self, ran lower 12s and could be driven quite a lot. but like any thing else, as you want to run faster, or how ever heavy your foot gets, this will dicatete you keep on top of things a little more.

Remember that for less than 45 grand you can't even buy a car that will run 12s in the quarter (new cars). It isn't as easy as you may think, and you will have 10 grand just in your engine to have it 100% reliable.
