The only blower kit available for T1 engines is Dick Landys kit based around B&M blower, but if you're expecting to close your decklid, forget it.

The only alternative is to do what I did with my T4 motor and build your own kit based around a blower that you choose.

Or alternatively go for the tried and tested turbo route, various kits available.

Calereeves - Not sure I totally understand your Q.

If it's how much did it run (time)? About 6 months, until I decided that blow thru is pooo.

If it's how much did it run (power)? About 190 bhp 190 ftlbs.

At the moment I'm deep into a re-hash of the whole thing. Gone is the Eaton M45, turbo spec 48DRLAS, dissy, etc. I'm presently going full Engine Management with a DTA controller, dual injectors per cylinder, crank driven ignition, water/air intercooler, and to top it all of a bigger blower (Eaton M62).

At the moment I'm trying to decide whether to put the chargecooler in the engine bay or in the rear luggage compartment.

I'll post some pics of the project so far, when I rememeber to bring the digi camera home from work...

Hey moggy, what gives?
Blow thru blows?? What is the new set-up gonna look like? (trying to imagine the plumbing to run the Eaton as a draw)
If its not top-secret hush hush, give us an idea how you're gonna pull this one off?

Moggy,
I meant how much does it run(price) I'm sure its not cheap, but would it be cheaper to supercharge than to turbo? ABOUT how much did your whole setup, minus the engine longblock cost?
Thanks,
Cale

It's similar to this turbo setup, except the throttle body is on the intake side of the blower and there's a chargecooler just after the blower.

Cost of the blower is about $200-$300 for a good secondhand one, they're the ones off Thunderbirds, Mercedes CLK's etc. The rest cost 0 'cos I did it all myself.

Can't wait to see pics! Very impressive that you do your own engineering Image , (and I'm sure a lot of headaches too).
