What vehicles are preferred to harvest turbos from?

With Turbo and Super charging you can create massive horsepower with vw motors.

or What is the turbo of choice for 2.0L+ engines? What about intercoolers??

My opinion,

Volvo, Saab. You can even use the stock Bosche CIS units to convert over to fuel injection.
