Post by marco the steem engine »

tdirs, thats the sort of information I'm looking for, someone who's done it and got the T-shirt! thats the sort of power I'm looking for!and thats the boost I want! what the size is the motor? what cam and compression are you running? what valve size are you running?
this is going to be a daliy driver not a race car , but I want to do 12sec1/4 and still cruse home at 80mph.

Thanks for any help you can give

Large valving isn't required on a turbo engine unless you:

a) plan on running really high boost levels

and

b) plan to be on the boost a LOT

Big valves kills bottom-end torque and the turbo will be more than capable of producing over 150 HP using stock valve sizes. The only downside is the extra heat produced by forcing all that air/fuel charge through the stock valves at high boost (an intercooler will help quite a bit).
