It was an SCCA National Race last weekend. The race group included 5 classes: E,F,G,H Production and GT Lites. My 914 is in F Production along with the MGBs, Miatas and a few other cars. All the Hondas and Nissans and the Yellow Mini were in GT Lites (formerly GT4 & GT5).
The scheduled distance was 14 laps or a little more than 45 miles. The checker came out after the E Production leader (black & white 914) lapped me as he was completing his 12th lap. The silver MGB was in a dangerous location so they ended the race a little early. I finished 7th in class. The blue and green Miata that passed me on the first lap came in first. One of these days I hope to have enough power to keep up with the front runners in my class. Overall I started about 30th out of 57 and finished 23rd.

Its ok with me if you share. There are some more videos on my website: Tangerine Racing Pics & Video Page

I guess my favorite thing about racing is -- WINNING!

Make sure you don't skimp on safety preparations for your car.

How much have I spent on my 914? Way too much! Since jumping up to National competition the budget exceeds $8K per year, spread between car improvements, operational expenses and travel/lodging.

I like that imagery Torben!

It's an MGB. I got a PM from the driver. He says the throttle stuck open, and the damage isn't too bad so he will be on track again soon.
