Does Bugpack swaybar plating last?

For road racing, autocrossing, or just taking that curve in style. Oh yea, and stopping!

Does Bugpack swaybar plating last?

Post by Ohio Dave »

Hi

Was wondering if anyone has installed Bugpack anti-sway bars without painting or coating them. They come with a gold colored plating, but it looks a lot like the plating that was on some pushrod tubes I used, and they rusted after a couple months.

Thanks Dave

I bought two Bugpack sway bars three years ago, one installed and the other still sitting in the store room. The one installed has rust on the scratches (may be caused by flying rocks or hitting something). The one not installed still looks good without any rust although the color is little bit less shinny than it was new.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll install them as is. The car won't be out on any snowy, salt covered roads, so I should be OK.
