Type 1 DTM

Hello all, I was just curious why the Type 1 DTM is cheaper at Serrano's than at Jake's?
Is it a different version...or...?

It's Steve's way of doing business..
he doesn't make a dime on shrouds, more than likely loses money on them..
He buys them from me 10 at a time.. I honestly don't see how he stays in business, but he is doing damn good!

But when you don't buy direct I don't give the kind of support that one would get that bought it direct.... Thats why all the shrouds are serialized and we have records on where every single one has went since shroud #1-

They are also non consecutive numbers..

But we are over 200 on Type 4 DTMs and 140+ on the Type 1!

Yeah, I have one that I bought from a local Las Vegan....it keeps hauntingly calling me in the middle of the night from the garage! It wants to be used but I am unable to since my Type 4 project is currently temporarily on hold due to studying for this darn PE exam. It reminds me of Edgar A. Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart". LOL

It is a shame to see it on the rack waiting....such a nice piece to be there just sitting waiting.

Jake -- Where is the serial number written on the shroud? If I'm correct, I have #1 of the production T1 DTMs.

Yours wasn't even a production unit.. There were two units sold during the test period and yours was one of them, NoH20 here on the forum has the other one...

It's a piece of history LOL!

I feel you, T4 DTM #020 has been in my possession for over 2 years, patiently waiting for it's time.........between Jake comming up with new cool stuff to buy and my own lack of focus on getting an engine together time has gotten away from me.........that's ok, I have enlisted the help of someone with more time and ability to focus on engine building than myself, and with his help........soon.......soon.......
