I have a 67 type 3 motor in a custom built car. I would like to put in a tachometer but what good would it do me if I don't know the optimum revs for shifting. I stricktly a street driver. What are the best revs for shifting.
Thanks
tachometer

Bone-stock motor? Meaning Solex carbs and heat exchangers?
If it is a stock motor it really doesn't matter as the engine doesn't have that much power nor a peaky torque curve to make much of a difference. 2500 to 3000 rpm sounds like a fine region.
