Still Looking for a test light bulb

Last year I bought a test light, that I have either lost or misplaced. It had a fuse type bulb in it with two filaments one filament was red and the other was green. If you hooked it to ground the red filament would light if you probed a power source. If you hooked it to power the green filament would light up if you probed a ground. Well I have searched till I am blue in the face and can't find anyone who sells the bulbs. I bought it by accident, but now have a use for the two filament bulbs. Any info on a source for the bulbs would be greatly appreciated.

No, 2088 bob it does exist really. I dropped the test light the bulb blew, I have since lost the bulb carrying it in my pocket looking for a replacement. The part store where i bought it went out of business and I can't find the test light to see what brand it was. I probably have at least 20 test lights I moved my shop and a lot of my tools are packed away in boxes. When I first used it I didn't like it the bulb lite up red when looking for power. Then one day I was checking a electronic fuel pump for power and ground when I hooked the test light to power and checked the ground circuit it lite up green I was in shock. I will find the source and share it when I do.

Thank you 2088bob I searched for a week before posting and just didn't type in the right info the one I found probably isn't the same brand as the one I bought. Even though it does the same thing. I have an idea I want to patent with this test light, and like you I was in disbelief when it changed colors.

The best test lights are simple. I use a bacl up light socket that can be bought in any FLAPS as replacement, with a wire attached to the body of the socket as the ground. Just use crimp connecters to make the wires longer and to connect whatever type of contacts you want (alligator clips, probes, etc). They are cheap, the bulbs are easily replaced and easy to identify.

there is the liklihood that your bulb could be an asian production bulb.. there are hundreds and hudreds of little uncommon ones out there....

Just got my test lights. These aren't the same as the one a was looking for. They do the same thing though. The one I had used a 2 color tube type bulb. I don't think the led are replacable in these. If anyone finds the bulbs I am looking for please post a link.
