In my opinion they are terrible. Noisy and subject to failure. There are different quality parts available but I would uses needle bearings if possible.
The problems that I thought were being caused by my poly bushings, ended up being something else. They work & work well. They would make a great replacement for the original bearings & bushings if you had to replace them. If you have a new beam with the needle bearings & original style bushings already installed in the tubes, use them. Get the poly grease seals & call it a day.
If for some reason you have "noisy" poly bushings, use the black graphite impregnated grease in the front beam. In the rear, coat all the bushings with the white/clear grease that comes with the bushings. Mine have not squeaked yet.

I tried a couple of sets and they were all too loose, allowing the arms to move side to side. They should really be sold under size and then you would have to ream them to fit once they were installed.
Stick with the OEM there is no reason to change, fit is better, tolerances are better and there is no sticking.
check out kartek. they make all types of bushings.. the bugpack red bushings are not the only option.i have ran the bugpack bushings and they worked on a steet car..but these karteks i have now seem to fit much better..still no run time on them but i figure they will work out.
i have done bearings on a few beams..and its not always fun..bushings are a good option IMO..but i would really take the time to find the "good" ones
