Front Beams

Post by flat_iv »

I have a 74 ghia with 16" wheels and CB Performance dropped spindles. Right now the car is lower than I would like it to be. The low profile tires I have to have right now are smaller than I would like and would rather run a 205/45/16 or a 205/50/16. To raies the front end up 1" will a new adjustable beam give me the distance that I am looking for. Will I need an adjustable lowered or raised front beam? And why are the raised adjustable beams higher in price than a lowered beam?

Thanks
Richard

My beam came from CB. Even in it's highest setting, it's still lower than stock. Get the adjusters & intall them on yor beam yourself. You can center them correctly & you'll save a bunch of money.

That is a good idea. I just ordered my adjusters and will start my disassembly tonight. Anyone know how much the adjusters increase or decrease the ride hight. Wondering if I weld the adjusters centered in the original spot will it give me enough room or raise my car 1/2 to 1"?
