here is the basic structure.. without the cuts for placing all the instrument + switches

and here is what i am going to place

so i had to build my own console-dash board ...
to many things
+ pc screen
but i think that gel coat must be the product that i am looking for..
i will check it in the net for more information

ohh gel coat... you mean the product that we place in boats... i know that
(i own a 25 feet sailing boat
)
i am looking about a product that is like a rubber ....
but maybe the best - simple solution is to paint it
as you said
about the form...
first i take a tape and cover all the dashboard

after that i use one product that dont know how you are calling it .. so will describe it in order to understand what it is..
it is in big spray bottles with hose... after you press the top .. it cames out as a mush.. and start get bigger..
after some hours outside is hard and inside is like a sponge.
they use it for closing gaps between doors and walls when they placing the door frames ... hope make you understand what product is that i used
so i take this product and start place it on dashboard... in different layers ..
it is a tricky staff and stuck .. thats why i place the tapes on dashboard..in order can remove it after all this..

i left it became hard 1-2 days and then start cut it with a knife - blade to the form i like

i find out that the cups from ordinary paint spray we use... have the same diameter (little bigger) than the gauges

after that i take a filler

and apply one or two layers on the top of my console

and after that i make it smooth with sand paper

now i was ready to apply wax before start placing the fiber glass sheets ...
the filler was for make it smooth without small sponge holes
and the was was in order to separate easily the fiberglass from the base...
sorry about my English
