Dunebuggy in SCCA

Post by Buggsy »

So if I were to run in a Solo 1 event, what class would my Manx bodied turbocharged 2332cc dunebuggy fall into? What kind of cars would I be running against? EM? Special?

E-Mod

Post by FJCamper »

Hi Buggsy,

In our SCCA Region, you'd be E-Mod because you're over two liters and you don't conform to most class specs -- you'd be a highly modded special.

We got bumped out of DM to EM because of engine size.

Lower it, add front end weight to keep it on the ground, and go blast 'em.

A good mid-engine buggy could be a killer.

EM has some Dodge Vipers, modified 914's (six cyl) and Lotus 7 kit cars with any kind of engine you'd imagine.
