About to lower IRS, ?'s on amt of clicks

Can I go 2 outer clicks on IRS to achieve 1.5 - 2in. drop or would I have to go with both inner and outer to get there? Thanks

Hi Ngneer,

Two outer "clicks" (splines) should work.

The qualifer "should" here means if you don't pull the inner torsion bar splines out of socket in getting the spring plate off the outer bar splines, thereby causing lots of reassembly guessing.

There are volumes of info on how to measure, how to calculate angles, etc., but in real life the "set" from age the bars have (and it will be different on each side) make this reindexing a very "cut and try" job.

Thank you FLCamper I'll try it and see how it comes out, struggled for a couple days now on the axle nut. Just got back from Ed"s on a purchase of the removal tool and it worked, now on to the lowering, thanks for the info
