IRS split-bus with airbags

Post by Jadewombat »

I know you guys probably check the other forums, but in case you missed it here's my IRS swap I've been working on in my '66 bus posted in the Bus Barn. I cannot say how the ride is yet at I haven't driven it (still fitting the FI to the motor). You can see the airbags fitted and the bay-bus IRS components. It should sit about 2-3 inches lower the way I have the spring plates setup. I haven't done the front with air yet, although I do plan to lower it a little and fit airbag shocks (not airshocks, those suck). Anyhoo, enjoy.

I've posted to you earlier...im doing the same set-up on my 64 Bus/944 IRS etc....just about finished the front suspension...yeah I opted for the sleeve bag shocks by Airlift which are adjustable but...heard the ride sucks from a couple people...oh well trial and error will play a part here....if your not too worried about individual suspension I would go with the Wagens West airbeam im sure you've seen it and know it rides better...anywho keep it coming!!
