Painting front beam

Post by Class 11 streeter »

Want to paint a front beam with something durable. Black. Offroad tough.

Beam may be fully assembled so powdercoating may not be an option.

Ideas?

$50/gallon for zero rust.. makes about 3 gallons..

Looks like powder coating when done.

Forgot - direct to metal too.... in the same rust encapsulator class as POR etc.

The beam has really got to be cleaned well. I used "Heavy Rust" Rustoleum. The finish coat was Duplicolor Low Gloss Engine Enamel....Looks great to me! :D
