I want to have a boxer case converted to build a dependable, air-cooled street engine. Who is doing that work? What does it cost to have the jackets removed and the offset stud inserts installed?
Also, will Type IV heads work in this conversion? I don't care whether this engine has upright fan.
TIA

Thanks Helowrench, We have been very busy doing the H20 to air conversions. We remove the H20 jackets. We have and install the bushings to convert to t-1 lifters. We also do the inset inserts for the 94,92 & 90.5 P&Cs. And the off set inserts for the 103.12 = 4.060 cylinders. We make the special spacer rings 90.5 - 94mm P&Cs. We drill & tap all the oil galley plugs for threaded plugs. We drill & tap the gen. stand 6mm studs to 8mm for better hold for your gen. or alt. We can cut the rear main seal bore for the larger flanged crank seal. ect. ect. Thanks www.rockyjennings.com

Other than Rocky, Type 5 Joe... in Oregon, ... and IIRC a machine shop in Az does it.
I don't recall anyone on the east coast doing it off the top of my head.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
