Atta boy! In that case I would just punch a hole through the side right there and locate it next to the rear tire. I put mine behind the axle tube right beside the tire. I think the air flows through there pretty good.
I'll get it worked out, I used to be nervous about taking the cutting wheel to the car, but who am I trying to kid? It is what it is now, its never gonna have a 36er in it again. The funny little thing is just something we stuck in the plug that is in the distributer hole, it really has no purpose and will eventually be replaced with a crankcase vent. The system itself is not the prettiest out there for sure, but for 30 bucks, the header I bought was a good start. I couldn't have bought the flanges for that cost.
IMPRESSIVE! I too spent the weekend with my car in the driveway, putting DIS on, works great now. I'm curious though, how did you get your driver side plug wires to reach THAT far over, I can barely get my coil on the passenger side of the decklid spring... Did you not use escort wires? V8 wires perhaps?

Looks good. I am leery about using heat wrap though, because it superheats the tubing - eventually cracks into little pieces like glass, is what a drag racer experienced.
Kuleinc, did you go edis? Using all the ford hardware? Or did you go the way I did, and directly control the coils? I did not use escort wires, I shortened V8 ones and used MSD plug ends. The header wrap thing worries me. Heat in the engine compartment is going to be an issue, this car will see daily use. Anybody else having this issue?

yeah both are nice and wide for sure. Hopefully the 4-2-1 will work out fine, all my other turbo systems are the 4-1 style. Guess I'll get to see the difference now. Thanks again for the comments!

I did go DIS, I've had the parts for over 6 months, I need to get some pics, the install is embarrassingly messy still. The VR sensor bracket is what held me back, but my fiance lit a fire under my ass and I busted out some scrap aluminum and an electric grinder and some cardboard for a template, and about two hours later the sensor was mounted at TDC. I'm JUST using Megajolt right now, I also have a mega squirt II with V3 something board, but I didn't use it because I need a SHORT relay cable, and I'm not buying one for $70 and cutting it. I should post my ignition MAP, it seems to work pretty well, but I understand you can add more advance during cruise to get better mileage, haven't done so as it gets me 45 miles round trip back and forth to work 5 days a week, I'll play with it more this weekend. My motor is pretty mild. I had some trouble figuring out which wire went where on the coil and thought I had it right, but one side of the engine had the wires reversed, once I figured that out, it was easy peezy lemon squeezy!

surprisingly I managed to get the aircleaner to fit in place, the only problem is that it is about an inch to big around. The length is perfect, I just can't quite get the apron back on. Anybody got any suggestions for good aircleaners? I finished welding up the whole system today! Got NPT bungs and extra air moving pipes(idle valve) needed all welded in place, everything fits great! i'm so excited to get this thing on the road again! Chip
Where is it, down next to the header? That's no bueno! For mine I welded a 90 degree aluminum tube to the turbo and swung it up into the upper part of the bay. The aircleaner is in the uppermost corner and all the tinware is in place.
