As always, amazing. At first the left hand muffler did look a little weird, but after giving it a day it looks normal. Now its time to start working on the cooling setup......fun.

love that exhaust. looks sick! btw, why didn't you use the stock crank angle sensor for the ignition?
and I like your shortened sump. looks great. how much did you shorten it by?

I shortened the pan by about two inches but it still holds plenty of oil. The megajolt controller requires the use of a 36-1 trigger wheel. I want to get some wheels machined with the same OD as the stock crank trigger wheel on the crank sprocket and the machine the old one off and weld on the new so I can use the stock vr sensor with the edis. I have seen it done on the Megasquirt forums and works well.

The suby crank sensor is a very low power mag pickup, they use a thin trigger wheel and also use a CPS. I have tried to use it on a GM FI conversion and the ECM doesnt like it. Not enough wave form for the ign module.
Good to know it works for the edis.

2840 type4, turboed and injected with my GM conversion. runs great and still needs fine tuning.

Not sure if its the same, but you can use a EJ25 water pump on a EJ20. The water neck then points towards the rear of the car or towards the bellhousing. Makes some of the plumbing a little cleaner. But, not sure if it fits the EJ22.

you dont even need to change the water pump, its only the thermostat housing
if you swap the EJ22 housing (which is a good idea anyway as alot are only plastic) for an EJ20T it will face toward the front like 59Bisquik said

Sorry I didn't quite get that far. I like how the EDIS module is mounted, pretty trick! I have a super so I can't mount a radiator there, although I've been thinking, and I don't think this has been done yet, but, to mount the radiator OVER the engine drawing air from the stock vents under my back window and my engine cover... I'm also pondering putting a TDI motor back there with stock ACVW trans and mount the radiator next to it. I really want diesel. I'm not sure the decklid would close. I know some people (John at topline?) put 1.8T on the back of the ACVW tranny, but I've not seen any pics of the install or if the decklid closes...
