Lotrat's Budget Baja Build

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

don't be rediculous! its obviously not her, hairs the wrong color. sheesh, the resemblence is uncanny, but atleast look closely.
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.

Things are rarely just crazy enough to work, but they're frequently just crazy enough to fail hilariously.

Shoot, forgot about this thread. It was finished it in the @#$%ING TORSION BARS! thread. http://shoptalkforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=950106#950106

I got 3/4" tow-in on the back, so it's all gonna come apart so I can slot the holes. It was the one thing I didn't check. Other than that it's good.

The clutch is slipping a little under the massive HP of my old stock 1600DP, so that's coming up.

I also developed a rattle at the poker run, I think I snapped a torsion leaf, so I need to poke at that end too.

You might be able to have my stock torsion leafs...if ya need 'em.
....you should really consider a set of boxed arms...if you have to take everything apart again. ;)

I just wasted like 10 minutes looking for this thread why is it not in the build threads you bashful?
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

What info could you possibly be looking for in this thread? I guess it's good for giggles...

Oh yeah, updates:

I installed Ricko's springplate, shortbars, and new urethane bushings where needed.

Installed nutzerts to hold the rear cover cowl thingamabob on. Lost the thing twice at the poker run before throwing it in the backseat.

Front Marathon's did they fit without mods?

Yeah, I put them on myself. Leather, Hedrock, and Ricko didn't help at all.
