See...my wife and I have an agreement....if they're too young to appreciate it....doesn't (and didn't) happen.

I have a firm belief that until a certain age, when you do things like Bday parties, xmas presents, Easter, etc... and they're too young, it's only for the parents' benefit.

We'll probably be home early enough for a grub Easter Sunday dinner.

Finally got the darn thing together. Serpentine belt is proving to be a pain in the butt. Any time you tough the thing you gotta re-adjust the tensioner so it tracks correctly. I though I blew something up, but it was just the serpentine belt jumping in and out of a groove. I reduced my oil leakage from a table spoon a day to 2 drips a day. Good enough.

It's my daughter's birthday this weekend, so my next trip out will be on the 25th. I haven't had the baja out in the dirt since New Years. Me and a buddy are running out to Ocotillo Wells. Should be quiet out there with the Barstow Poker Run and the SoCal Baja Mojave Road Run going on the same day. Adjusted my valves again today, so all it needs is an oil change and I'm good to go.

So why not hit the Barstow Poker Run?

Did you pick up a spare serpentine kit? Those spares are hard to find in the desert. Trust me.

Its an open event for any and all off road cars...and the proceeds go to charity

I gave up working hard along time ago. If you gotta fight to get it, you gotta fight to keep it. I've been burned (and burned out) too many times by corporate America. I set the cruise control back in 2003 and have been doing good enough ever since.
