Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

IF it is not sucking it up it must have a piece of metal or something blocking the way, all areas are flush and smooth?

All the parts are brand new except the caps but they where cleaned and sand blasted. I even took the seal out to see if it will tighten up.

I think i will take the bearing out and see if i can get it to tighten up . just trying to eliminate posabilitys.

Sounds like your bolts are too long. When I make trailing arms, I drill out holes behind the bearing carrier just in case. Try some bolts that are 1/8" shorter.

You better put those in a jig before you weld that much to them or they will warp like crazy.

Looks like a place to store dirt or sand if it stays open. Nice work though.

My opinion is worth slightly less than what you paid for it.

Don't know about the one over at TOS, but for an inexpensive cell, look at JAZ Products. If you pay for it at Pomona Swap Meet and have it shipped you can usually get it for a little less.

RCI makes some shortys also...

The one on the samba is a little different, but Latest Rage makes one very similar. Replaces the back seat. I can get them for about $140

But, there is no way to get foam into the tank. It has a very small filler hole.
