Got quite a bit done.

Pics as promised....
CB antenna mounted with STF flag atop and STF sticker in place.

I think it was stainless....it melted more than just welded.

STF sticker on the Jeep.

Hood seal on.

Got a bit more custom carpeting done as well!

What do you think?

I think it looks sharp, are you going to be able to get it dirty? How did the seal work out, going to keep everything out?

Definitely going to get it dirty! Can't wait....I get bummed when I see everyone going out having fun...

The sides and the back are good. Nothing underneath got wet during the rains last week....it was kicked out of the garage for room for the motorcycles.

I'm going to look at the different types of weather stripping for the front side, where the gasket doesn't make contact.

More carpeting tomorrow!

I have one...just haven't gotten there yet. It's still in the box awaiting instructions.

I have the one in the middle w/ the long shaft.

More progress today!
This carpeting thing is time consuming....especially when you are doing it by yourself.

It's cheap, durable outdoor carpet. Can't wait to get it dirty!!!

It's an exterior carpet from Lowe's....I think it was around $3/yd. Somewhere around there. It's pretty cheap stuff. Since I didn't go with expensive sound-deadener, I thought that the rubber backing would act as a barrier and provide a bit more sound deadening.

From my progress pics, you can see that I'm doing it in pieces. That way if there is ever any permanent damage, I can just replace a piece.

My hard decision is how to do the rear quarters. I'm considering aluminum panels.

Anyone have pics of an install? Do they sit exactly where the factory panels do? Or do they overlap more?

I sure hope so! It will be my 1st STF get together!

I also hope to have a shake down run before the end of the month....at least take it out on the road and hit some potholes!

ya bro thats a dam good job. did you just buy carpet and do it yourself or did you get a carpet kit and modify it
