What's the status of this club? Have you guys made any progress in defining the roles of the officers and the rest of the details? Just curious, I hadn't heard anything from you about this in a while.

I have been bombarded with the testing and etc here at the shop and with my heads and these crazy lifter issues..

There is definately the huge demand for a club but I simply cannot do it alone. I need help.

It might help if members would seek each other out in their geographical areas. The car show season here in the US is just a few months away and 4th Dimension members can make arrangements to meet up with each other and put faces to names. The first example was myself, Tuna, Eddie Brown, and @itagain meeting up at the Pomona Swap meet last Dec. We had a blast!

You guys Down Under, you are winding down on nice weather, what's going on there?

We also have BIG shoes to fill, someone to compile a newsletter. I suggest a website like the one Tuna has built to hold 4th Dimension club information, but since Tuna makes a living staring at a computer all day plus being webmaster for several Tunacan Production customers I can't expect him to do more. Perhaps he could give a volunteer access to a webpage so an online newsletter could be compiled and archived.

C'mon guys, we can do this!

I forgot to mention an alternative electronic newsletter format is a mailing list. I am no fan of mailing lists, if you are like me your inbox if full of daily junk you didn't ask for plus the mailing lists I used to subscribe to flooded me with stuff I wasn't interested in or overloaded me with political crap.

An internet webpage makes sense to me as a digital newsletter, just like this Forum is how we found each other to begin with. A webpage is something you can read at your leisure and can be shared with others who have an interest.

Sandeep and I have already volunteered to take care of the programming and the web site, respectively. I was waiting on Jake to get us more information on how he saw the group. Once I knew more about the organization and the things the website can offer, I was going to work on a kick@$$ layout and design for the new site. The temporary site is just that, a temporary web site to publish our preliminary information.

As for the newsletter, the most difficult part of it, either print or digitally, is getting text contributions from members. So if you can't commit the time to assume a role in the organization, think of stories and articles that you contribute. What about your first Type 4 rebuild? How did it turn out? How about shows? Are people interested in your Type 4 powered vehicle (I'm thinking converted cars here, ie. Bug, KG, Thing)? How did your hopped up Type 4 engine do in your camper on last summer's vacation to the Rockies? Get the idea?

Everyone has a role in this group.

One thing that did pop to mind that we need is a logo. If someone who's proficient with a vector based illustration program could create a logo, it would help to get the ball rolling on the site.

By making the logo as a vector image, we can scale the image from small for business cards to large for flyers or even banners. I'd like for the logo to be square in overall shape, so it fits nicely in the top left of the web site.

What's everyone else think? I'd like to hear from everyone.

tuna, hopefully my post wasn't taken wrong. I have every faith in your abilities, Sandeep also, and I wasn't trying to suggest differently.

I am just afraid of this loosing steam if we don't move forward. We need to make tangible progress.........maybe I was projecting my own issues, I don't know.........I do know I am disgusted with myself when it comes to what I haven't finished........I see this 4th Dimension organization that has nothing to do with what is "expected of me" (family, work, taxes) to sort of be that "extra mile" I need to do for personal redemption............sorry, I am rambling now...........
