210hp and 215ftibls of torque. This certainly will be nice to drive daily. I am thinking smarter not bigger. This engine will have to wait awhile need to get my car rolling first and i wont be using my 2.0ltr type4 as yet. Jake my reason for choosing this combo is that ( 1 ) i wanted an engine with more torque than horsepower ( 2 ) it had to be reliable ( rod ratio of engine close to that of a stock 2.0ltr type4). In all my readings i have come to the conclusion that if you really want a good running engine try keeping the rod ratio of you modified street ( daily driven engine ) as close to stock rod ratio as possible. I can bet you he will also use 44 x 38 valves in the heads. Jake could you have noh2o post the results of his engine here with videos if possible.

The 84 stroke combos are not for beginners, for sure. NoH20 will be able to build this engine under my supervision in my shop so I can assist him with the work needed. We are doing this as a test engine and there is a possibility that it may end up with our roller cam set up if I can get the blanks finished up in time.
It's not too hard to build a TIV with more torque than HP- ALL of my engine kits do this.
If you want to build the engine as smart as possible, choose an engine kit combo and just bolt it together for a known result with known tuning and no first time stuff. First time things should be avoided by anyone thats not a glutten for punishment.

Yes, tjhe rollers will make more power, BUT we have to start from scratch with everything... I have only done this once, two years ago solely for test purposes and the test engine has went 20K without any issues. Upon teardown wear was better than expected.
Expect it to take a minimum of 18 months for the roller arrangements to be eveloped enough to be sold through the store. Until that time I have a lot of work to do because we have to literally make cam blanks and design every cam profile from scratch then apply the cams to a few Super hero combos for real results. That means a lot of work and time that is a royal pain in the ass.
Roller lifters have reduced wear from that of a flat tappet, even without ceramics being used.
The roller test engine was a 2270 that made 185HP with 2 year old head technology (while all other 2270s were 160 ponies or less) and a cam that was a generic Chevy grind, nothing special or even designed. I made an agreement with the customer to send the cam and lifters back after 20K miles and he just did that last week..
Wear to the case, lifters and cam were non existant, especially on tw of the lobes that had some special treatment.

But for you there is one thing you need to understand:
don't wait for the perfect engine, if you do that with the rate of development that we are doing the engine will NEVER get built!
Build a kit first, familiarize yourself with the TIV then sell that engine and step up- thats exactly what I did and how I learned so much in a short period of time.
You could wait for the next 20 years for me to come up with the best combo possible and it would be superceded in 6 months or less, thats been my goal since the beginning.

I will rebuild my 2.0ltr as a starter engine and learn about the engine. When it's time for me to upgrade then i will try to build the combo i mentioned with a little help from you guy's. 2270cc making 185hp that's great and it didn't have your now developments. Can't wait to see what Noho2 does with the engine he is building.
