leatherneck, i think he is using a big slinky for the adjustable wheelbase....

i think he stretched it 10", that puppy is gonna ride like a cadillac in the rough stuff.

This car has a 19" extention and the wheel base is i want to is real close to 120"

the beam extention we put together in about 2 hours. the car is going to get a full cage front to rear one of these days. i am also working on adapting the bus rudux boxes to the swingaxel spring plates.

Nope it is just a fixture to hold the beam where i want it so when i put in the cage every thing stays square. I wasn't even sure if i would like the beam extended that much. Im debateing on cutting off the roof. or just cutting the center off the roof out like a rag top. the inside of the car i might paint safty red.

I picked up a ford 2.3 last week for $50 its being rebuit with help from my friend that works at esslinger raceing . going in the rail soon.

How is this going to work? Have you checked bump steer? How much travel are the tie rods going to have up and down?

This is the beam that came off my other car as is, it has almost no bump steer. the tie rods are clear of obstruction through there limits of travel.

it's a scat shifter made for a bus. it came out of a 66 bus.

up date on the car started the front cage and beafed up the beam.

pushed the beam 10" forward.

the work i did to the beam.

still workin on the beam should be rolling friday.

Looks like you swapped out the long shifter.....did you sell it?
