whats up homie i remember you from thesamba too. i had asked you about your frontend. im still diggin your ride dude keep up the good work and welcome to shoptalk. its cool hear bro i got alot of advice quick here versus the other site these guys know thier stuff and are quick to answer everything.

Dummy Lights.... I have already drilled two holes... One for oil pressure, and the other for alternator....

There will probably be a third to let me know when i've got the off-road lights on... don't wanna be that guy that melts his light covers...

... i'll take pics of all that stuff after its all painted up and pretty looking.... i'm working on sanding down all the welds now........ too much fun...

Watch out for those die grinders. My electric one coughed up the chuck Sunday (33,000 RPMs unloaded) and it took a nasty chip out of the concrete. Luckly it did not come my way. I was wearing all the safety stuff, glasses, safety glasses, mask, ear protection, all the same stuff I was wearing when I got three steel slivers in my eye the other day. Be careful!

Worst that has happened to me is that little plastic piece on the other side of the rough stuff has disintegrated and went flying across the garage....

Still very much unfinished... but we're driving... Just need to build a bumper and secure the battery and its ready to get dirty... here's some a couple pics from the first venture out of the neighborhood.... had the lightbar off as i'm getting the welding finished up....

This is about 30 seconds before I drove off without putting the gas cap back on.... yea... those JAZ fuel filler replacement caps run for $20 a piece... ( there is a stainless steel cable attached to the new one..)

And then the obligitory stop for fast food at 9:30 at night... I said I'd feed her, and I did. Who's calling me a liar?

I would cover up that fuel cell.

Especially up there in San Marcos.....cops might give you funny looks.

I've heard that it makes a car anti-streetlegal if you have your fuel container in your passenger compartment....

btw....why doesn't she have a smile on her face??? Were you driving to fast?
