Hi. The jugs are probably from a Volvo TD70 Truck engine. Have been looking for someone selling used ones in Norway, but without any luck. Where did you get hold of yours, fastback? If you don`t mind to tell me that is
Its probably not TD 70 liners, since they are 104.7mm. These are regulary used in T4 autocross engines in Norway. TD 60 are 98.4mm. So its probably those in the picture. TD 50 have 95.25mm bore.
raceware do head studs for the wbx ,in stock lenght, in stainless, in 220,000psi materail, very good , $300!?!? when i got them for my motor, never had a problems with the stock ones, but i thought i better upgrade, iv run 37psi on the raceware studs.
good luck marco mansi...
Have you had any issues with sealing with those Raceware studs?
I ask because I hear they have the correct inner thread, but the outer thread is an SAE thread which doesn't allow us to use the std WBX cap/nut that supposedly prevents oil and water from mixing. Have you seen any issues?
they are 8mm in the center just like the stock ones, its the materal they are made with that is special, like arp2000 rod bolt materal, 220.000psi strength, i have never had a problem.
an old thread i know, but just seen it, here's the okrasa race kit studs as supplied for my 2500, these are 10mm, nos 8mm set as installed in my 2100 turbo for comparison.
