These are popoular cylinders used in some autocross engines here. and have not heard that they are a problem to machine??
almost all cast cylinders can be machined easily as far as i have heard.

Hi. The jugs are probably from a Volvo TD70 Truck engine. Have been looking for someone selling used ones in Norway, but without any luck. Where did you get hold of yours, fastback? If you don`t mind to tell me that is :)

Its probably not TD 70 liners, since they are 104.7mm. These are regulary used in T4 autocross engines in Norway. TD 60 are 98.4mm. So its probably those in the picture. TD 50 have 95.25mm bore.

No problem machining these in a lathe with carbide tools. I have done it many times, both Volvo and Deutch liners.

Hey Marco,

Have you had any issues with sealing with those Raceware studs?

I ask because I hear they have the correct inner thread, but the outer thread is an SAE thread which doesn't allow us to use the std WBX cap/nut that supposedly prevents oil and water from mixing. Have you seen any issues?

I was mis-informed then. I was told that the inner threads were fine, but the outers would not allow us to use the factory nut/fastener.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

they are 8mm in the center just like the stock ones, its the materal they are made with that is special, like arp2000 rod bolt materal, 220.000psi strength, i have never had a problem.
