Re: Mark's turbo ghia buildup.
What Ghia's make up for with room in the engine bay, they really have so little room under the apron. I was laying under the car for close to 30 min trying to figure out how to fit all of the exhaust tubing up there and how to get it pointing in the right direction. Time to start ordering some tubing and collectors. Anyone know where to get some thick flanges for the heads??

I think AJSimms sells the flanges you are looking for.

Small update:
Got some new shoes for the Ghia.

Made up a bracket for the crank sensor.

Decided to go with a billet aluminum pulley as this is what happened to my last steel one. Don't need this happening again.

I love late Christmas presents!

Special Thanks to Marty Staggs for the great deal on the wastegate. One of the best quality parts I have seen in a long time.

I have a couple of "special" boxes coming from Shag55. Should be here Monday. Until then,
Happy New Years!!!!
Anybody had any luck welding stainless to mild steel? It seems I can only find 2.25" v band clamps in stainless.

Thanks Gerico. I might go to a show or two with it, but its main purpose is to be a fun street car. The goal is to get into the 130mph club at Bonneville in September.

There is no problem welding mild steel to stainless if yup use stainless rod. Don't know about mig welding them together though.

We tig'd the SS v-band flange to mild steel tubing. It worked out well. Yes, you have to use SS filler rod, different grade of SS, 309???? I can't remember...

I'm going to run a T3/T4 with a H trim exh. wheel, and a P trim comp wheel.
