just watching your video, would lower tyre pressure help with traction off the line? they seem fairly stiff.

I´ve done something on winter.

I removed ~10kg of filler....And didn´t want to put it back but the body is quite awful because of bad weldings. (I didn´t make them) So i decided to paint to metal not to filler :D (Black parts)
I have to make some metalwork before I could paint the doors and hoods but they will be orange.

some changes:

Sandblasted:

Third layer (Cheapest metal paint  ....not for cars but for trains, maschines, catepillars or whatewer :D :

a-lot to do but I hope to get it running for 11th of june. (little event for street cars....that´s why I used original glasses and made thouse holes for back lights ;))

Still stock 1600 with used parts (only bearings are new) and pistons are somme really old and cheapest mahles (cause they were a lot lighter than stock ones)

And I would go the cheap machine like: stock crank and rods , stock update with 40x36 valves, combined clips from other brands of cars will do 86 to 86.5 hundred and a hundred will have 10:1 compression stock and if all this may to find a second hand with at least cam, it would be great
For all of this turbo
Is this combination that will run during a race I do not know :?:

this year I would like to start with base boost (1bar) and rise it until something breaks. I have some stock parts more (about 16 rods, few cases, three sets of pistons, double heads....)
This year I´ll visit some dyno.
I think it works great around 1,5-1,7 bar (It did last year)
Eaven the stock gearbox should work great when I use only street tyres.

It made 13,9 160km/h @ 400 with 1bar of boost
first target is 13,6 (My last NA bmw did it) but I think it will be faster easily eaven with street tyres.

When I use the same tyre size then 170km/h should be done with 6000-6200rpm. (did 6400 with stock springs last year)

On next winter...I´ll paint my another body (64´ 1200) for this engine and try to keep it all stock outside. This orange-black body tries how hard piece is type 4 with bus gearbox :D I´m collecting stock parts and hope to push it around 300hp with stock internals.

Im hoping to get to 12s too and it should be easy with better track and drag slicks but we race on slippy concrit and street tires....so 12s is not so easy to do but that´s my purpose for this year and 11s for next year......so 10s in 2013 with type 4 engine :D

You want a stock in 1600 with the turbo time to reach the 11s it was quite ambitious, but just ahead you have my support from afar through the forum.
I am curious how this would have turned out.
Surely you have seen this, respect is ....

200hp with 1600 turbo looks 3times easier to get than 200hp with NA engine.

I made 160 km/h @400m with 15PSI of boost but before that i run almoust 100km with 24PSI and it was insane...170+ km/h top speed I think.

It seems that you will undo me from buying a racing parts for my 1600 machine, what I'm saying is remarkable results with STD machine turbo.
I would have done with 86xh69, Weber 40 dcoe and turbo T3 \ T28.
You can also channel their heads to process and put the valves or 40x36 or 42x37 do not know if it will fit 42x37 valves in the 86mm cylinder.

I made a water-air intercooler from air-air cooler :D system is without pump and front radiator. Only this box with my old cooler and 20kg of ice and water. It worked really good.
With 14 PSI the IAT was between 16 and 20 deg with 30 deg. outside temp. When turbo was out of its efficent (1,5-1,7bar) the temp was between 20-30 on 400m track

Unfortunately there were a lot of troubles and I couldn´t make a normal pull.
(exaust leaked, MS made resets, fuel pressure wasn´t stable and mixture was deam rich)
I tried to fix all this mess but the event was over for me when I really got it moving fast.

Car weights 750kg with filled intercooler and laptop + me (70kg)
