Re: Max's 1776 EFI Turbo Build
As I'm still undecided whether or not to use one of my two Garrett GT1752 turbos or to buy a GT25 or T3. I thought I would put up some pictures of the new fuel lines fitted.
Here is a pic of the 5/16" Fuel hard lines too and from the tank. I used Stainless Steel P clips to attach the lines.
Here is where it comes out through the bulkhead. The Fuel pump and filter will be fitted to one side of the chassis tunnel.

Ps if anyone's got any advice on turbo choices for my 1776 let me know.

Do you plan to drag race it?
if so, the fuel lines must be located outside the driver compartment.
As for the turbo, try the one that you have.

Yeah maybe I should just try it out. Can always swap it over later to a GT25 or T3.yvre wrote:Just try the one you have.

Re: Max's 1776 EFI Turbo Build
What are you turbo guys running when it comes to exhaust gaskets? I've got a new CB Performance buggy turbo header.
It's a T04 flange so will have to fab up an gt17 adapter.

Re: Max's 1776 EFI Turbo Build
I am running a set of slip in copper exhaust gaskets on my el cheapo sedan header at the heads. They have never leaked up to 13 plus lbs. of boost.
Mine are 1 1/2 inch style. I don't know what size these are though. I bought mine six or seven years ago and have used them since I started driving my buggy turboed and non turboed. You will have to ask to get the right size if you are going for a 1 5/8 inch header.

I also use the large copper gasket at the flange of the header to my turbo up pipe. It did leak just a little bit but never seemed to cause any problems.

I plan to seal that up when I reassemble my system.
I have heard of some using high temp gasket sealer for a gasket also.

Re: Max's 1776 EFI Turbo Build
Would like some help on choosing a cam...
1. Engle W100 .420 lift x 276 duration.
2. Webcam 119 .422 lift x 276 duration.
3. Webcam 218 .460 lift x 280 duration.
CR is 7.5 and I'm using stock rockers.
Anyone?

Re: Max's 1776 EFI Turbo Build
I think that would satisfy any but the most often 1776cc built with , W120 or VZ-15,VZ-25 in more recent times.
